Windy City Authentics Shut down by the Bot Business Killer
Windy City Authentics was another successful eBay sports collectibles store put out of business, Account Suspended Indefinitely by none other than eBay Inc in November of 2013. Windy City Authentics sells collectible merchandise but it’s very apparent that eBay Inc is trying to do away with the collectibles category by throwing out good sellers to the wolves. This practice of using an automatic “bot business killer”, putting sellers out of business has to stop and it’s against everything we know as ecommerce. Windy City Authentics had an outstanding seller reputation and sold on eBay since 2001. Windy City Authentics had thousands of items up for sale and also owned a brick and Mortar store. Windy City Authentics had to lay off workers because eBay put John out of business. Windy City Authentics was paying an average of $3-5k a month in seller fees, paying his taxes and being productive in society but now he may have to file for unemployment and go on government assistance all because of eBay Inc.
Would the shareholders of this greedy company appreciate this if they knew the “Bot Business Killer” was killing it’s bottom line revenue? I bet they wouldn’t. eBay is throwing good money away and they don’t even care who they hurt in the process. “It’s ok, it’s just a man and his family we’re hurting” John Donahoe says. Is this how eBay is going to continue operating in our country? Because if so CEO John Donahoe needs to be put in Jail for killing off the American Dream. This seller did nothing wrong and always followed the rules at eBay.
Windy City Authentics sellers put out of business by ebay is now damaged by eBay Inc to the tune of thousands of dollars because he lost all his inventory and now has to close his store. He was a large drop shipper for a well-known online sports memorabilia company providing quality service and products to his customers. Those customers were his and not eBay’s. You’ll remember about a month ago we had another top rated perfect performing seller that was shut down and through mass media attention and the help of ecommercebytes.com we were able to get Charlie’s account reinstated. I guess all the noise we made had an impact and eBay listened. Raising your voice these days isn’t enough, we need more and more people to come out and tell us your story about how your business got shut down.
If your business was shut down by eBay Inc you can file a complaint on their business at the California State Attorney General’s Office by going after the business license of eBay Inc. Kamala D. Harris doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it because I’m sure the state of California is in the back pockets of eBay Inc. Click here to file a consumer complaint. eBay Inc has to respond to the complaint. Also file one in your state as well. Please let your state law makers also know about how eBay and PayPal operate it is very important.
Also for those that have lost their business, ebay sellers get the bums rush, I can assist you with a sound legal solution. While I am not an attorney, I will construct a complaint for you to file on eBay Inc in “proper” (without an attorney) that will bring eBay Inc to the table to get your account reinstated. They will be afraid of the action and be forced to take a look at your account. This will only cost you about $25 and 30 minutes of your time. You can also show John your support by visiting Windy City Authentics on Facebook. You can also visit NARU Messenger forums and post your response to the Windy City Authentics thread. eBay if you’re watching were asking you to please reinstate this seller’s account.

Windy City Authentics was reinstated today. I want to thank the individual at eBay for helping him out and making this happen. I believe any seller account in question should be looked at by a real human person and not by some bot. eBay has identified this to be a problem and from what I’m hearing they are working on it. If you’re a seller and you have a perfect selling record and have been previously shut down please email me your story. In your email please include your seller id, along with the items you sell, how long you been on eBay and weather or not you drop ship. Also include how much on average you spend a month in seller fees and any hardships you had to go through in the process of your store being shut down.
