eBay tells suspend sellers they are unable to Appeal Account Restriction when they find out their listings have been canceled and unable to sell to buyers. eBay suspends sellers based on Global Seller Performance Standards that are just unfair to small sellers and new businesses. The email below is what you’ll receive by eBay when they terminate your seller account and after you tried to appeal their decision. eBay always responds with a scripted rejection letter and no customer service will ever help you. eBay has created a bad reputation of customer service so most people run and never look back and that’s what eBay hope you’ll do. If you’re a small seller and your business has been terminated don’t give up you can always get help and if you can’t then take legal action.
In my opinion there is no Appeal Account Restriction process at eBay, they just claim it’s an appeal process so it sounds good to the states they operate in. eBay simply waits 24 hours then sends you another email announcing your indefinite suspension. Appeal Account Restriction. At that point you have already been stressed out to the point where you just want to give up. That’s right eBay Inc loves to throw away shareholder money by terminating its sellers.
Appeal Account Restriction Process is Broken
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your concern about your recent account suspension.
It’s quite unfortunate that your account has been suspended, especially that you have a perfect Feedback score on your account. I do thank you for giving us a time to make an appeal on your suspension. At the same time, I hope you can understand that the actions and resolution we are providing to members are based on eBay’s policies and guidelines.
We have suspended your account due to the risk presented to the eBay community. Even if a suspended member has a perfect Feedback score, we can suspend accounts if ever we’ve found out that their actions are not in the spirit of our eBay community, or if their actions will give financial losses to our company. I know that you want us to lift you suspension. At the same time, in reviewing your account, it looks like eBay?s Trust and Safety department has done a thorough investigation of your account. Based on the information that they have found, it’s a risk to the eBay community at large. Based on that, we have determined that it is in eBay?s best interest to deny your appeal , that means we will not be reinstating your account.
I know that this is frustrating. I wish I could actually give you some details on why we suspended your account, unfortunately I don’t have the ability to give that out to you. The reason is, it would allow you to possibly get around the policy when you create a new account but I do want you to know that your account has been thoroughly examined and at this point in time, it will not be eligible for reinstatement. In summary, we’ve found out that your suspension will remain on your account. We thank you in advance for understanding, and wish you luck with your future endeavors.
If you receive this email and your account has been restricted to buy only and not sell it maybe time to sell with a Stealth Account because eBay’s Appeal Account Restriction resolution center is nothing more than a brick wall that turns sellers away in order to discourage them from trying to obtain account reinstatement. eBay’s global standards overview says:
As an eBay seller, You’re expected to:
- Charge reasonable shipping and handling costs.
- Specify shipping costs and handling time in the listing.
- Follow through on your return policy.
- Respond to buyers’ questions promptly.
- Be helpful, friendly, and professional throughout a transaction.
- Make sure the item is delivered to the buyer as described in the listing.
If you need help removing the Appeal Account Restriction please email me and I’ll explain to you a better way of contacting someone who can help rather they go through eBay’s non-customer service.
